  Urinary tract infections

Urinary tract infections

Bladder infections or cystitis are the most common problems of the urinary tract. Symptoms include an urgent need to urinate, unusually frequent urination, or pain when urinating. Urinary tract infections are usually relatively harmless. If not treated a urinary tract infection can lead to a kidney infection. Although rare, repeated kidney infections can result in kidney failure.
